A Perfect Sunday Poem -- Emily Dickinson

Truth and simplicity is usually all we need. Then we're going all along.

Some keep the Sabbath going to Church —
I keep it, staying at Home —
With a Bobolink for a Chorister —
And an Orchard, for a Dome —

Some keep the Sabbath in Surplice —
I, just wear my Wings —
And instead of tolling the Bell, for Church,
Our little Sexton — sings.

God preaches, a noted Clergyman —
And the sermon is never long,
So instead of getting to Heaven, at last —
I'm going, all along.

I also am interested in Emily Dickinson. I am creating a dictionary for all the words in her poetry at edl.byu.edu. Are all of her poems translated into Norwegian?

Hello, how interesting about the dictionary! No, there is currently no complete translation of Emily Dickinson's poems into Norwegian, but I have heard rumours that they are being translated by the same translator that translated Walt Whitman's "Leaves of Grass" into Norwegian (he told me about a year ago). That is something I am really looking forward to.
